Rock 'n Roll
Spent the day with a former student who also happens to be a music addict like me. Actually, we are kind of like old souls who should have been born in older musical decades instead of the ones we were actually born in--a lot of our favorite artists are long past their prime or simply dead. Specifically, we likely should have been born in the 70s so that we could have at least seen Queen with Freddie Mercury and then been sufficiently and appropriately angst-ridden enough to get into all those 80s rock bands that follows. Though, in lieu of that, I am still super grateful to know her and see her succeeding in her life. Even more awesome that we can get together occasionally to jam loud on the guitars in the studio and release stress via Guns 'n Roses and Nirvana. Thanks Nanae, for always being awesome.
