Skyrim: The Arrow/Knee Thing is True
April 14, 2013
As soon as Skyrim was released about a year ago, people wouldn't shut up about the whole "Arrow in the Knee" meme. Well, last night whilst playing Skyrim, I accidentally shot a bandit in the knee with my arrow and it outright killed him dead. I wasn't even aiming for his knee. I was aiming for his head. But as I am a horrible shot, and it was far downrange, I just shot and and suddenly saw him go down. When I finally ran up to the guy to loot him, I found that the arrow had gone right through his damn knee, as you can see in the photo below. I haven't looked up whether this is some intentional phenomenon or not, and I know for a fact that at my current low level my character is not really capable of killing humanoids in a single arrow shot, so I am led to believe that in Skyrim, it is not an Achilles Heel, it is rather the Achilles Knee.
